Building blocks

Logistics built around your operation

When the products you move are essential to patient care, distribution and logistics are just the beginning. Smart Services take the building blocks of distribution — accredited warehousing, domestic and cross-border transport, order orchestration, automation, and consolidated freight — and assemble them into a program that fits how your business actually runs.

Accredited Warehousing

Licensed, healthcare-grade storage across a national footprint — for your product, your customers’ product, or both.

Product Reconfiguration

Inbound product reconfigured to match how each destination receives, stocks, and uses it.

Cross-Border & Import Logistics

Origin pickup, import management, and domestic distribution under a single partner.

Order Orchestration

Synchronized and automated order schedules across multiple suppliers and sites.

Consolidated Freight

Combined shipments that cut truck count and lower cost per delivery.

Manufacturer-Branded Delivery

Distribution on your behalf, with the brand and customer relationship staying yours.

In practice

Smart Services case studies

Manufacturer-direct distribution

Consumables for a national chain

An equipment manufacturer needs its proprietary consumables stocked in a national network of centers. We warehouse the product, repalletize each shipment to match how individual sites receive and stock, and deliver on the manufacturer’s behalf. The manufacturer keeps its brand and its customer relationship; the chain gets deliveries it can count on, with freight-efficient shipping combined with other products.

Cross-border logistics

From a European production line to U.S. centers

A customer produces its own consumable products in Europe. We collect the product at origin, manage the import into the United States, hold it in accredited storage, and ship to treatment centers as demand calls for it. As one partner spanning the origin dock, the ocean, and the last mile, we give the customer a partnership rather than a fragmented supply chain.

Consolidated logistics

Many manufacturers, one coordinated delivery

A buying network was sourcing from several manufacturers, each shipping on its own. We brought those products into our network, synchronized and automated the order schedules across suppliers, and consolidated shipments into combined deliveries. Fewer trucks, lower freight cost, and a more predictable cadence for centers.

I think very highly of HemaSource. I have been in procurement for 20 years and I haven't come across a company with better customer service.
